Request Green Dot Training

Overview Session: An overview speech is 50-60 minutes in length and introduces the basic elements of Green Dot.
Learning objectives include:

  1.     Recognize the role of being an active bystander.
  2.     Identify behaviors which may constitute dating/domestic violence, sexual violence, or stalking. (power-based personal violence).
  3.     Acknowledge barriers that may prevent one from intervening.
  4.     Help participants develop realistic approaches for intervening in harmful situations.
  5.     Show participants realistic pro-social behaviors they can do to shift the campus culture to one that is intolerant of violence and supportive of bystander intervention.

Post-Survey

Green Dot Bystander Training: A 5 hour long raining designed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge, connection, and skill to increase their proactive and reactive bystander behvaiors. 

Learning Objectives:

  1.     Connect more consciously to opinions regarding the role and responsibility of a bystander.
  2.     Understand the basic elements of culture change and feel inspired to make a positive contribution.
  3.     Identify behaviors which may constitute dating/domestic violence, sexual violence, or stalking. (power-based personal violence).
  4.     Increase motivation to intervene in order to reduce harm after violence has started, reduce the likelihood that it will happen again, or reduce the likelihood that it will happen at all.
  5.     Recognize barriers that may prevent one from intervening in harmful situations.
  6.     Develop realistic intervention options while considering barriers.
  7.     Show participants realistic pro-social behaviors they can do to shift the campus culture to one that is intolerant of violence and supportive of bystander intervention
